Voya Asia Pacific High Dividend Equity Income Fund (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is total return through a combination of current income, capital gains and capital appreciation. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in a portfolio of dividend yielding equity securities of Asia Pacific companies. The Fund will seek to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its managed assets in dividend producing equity securities of, or derivatives having economic characteristics similar to the equity securities of Asia Pacific Companies that are listed and traded principally on Asia Pacific exchanges. The Fund will invest in approximately 60-120 equity securities and will select securities through a bottom-up process that is based upon quantitative screening and fundamental analysis. Voya Investments, LLC is an investment adviser of the Fund.

Taking a stress leave is always better than jumping off a bridge.

On a more serious note, the Stella oil is still there and eventually the platform will be in place to extract it, the real question is will we still be here in 15 months to profit from it? There are a number of risks not the least of which is if Brent weakens to new lows and stays down I have some doubt about the sustainability of this company with its high level of debt. The best we can hope for is that the BOD is now actively pursuing a friendly buyout at a fair price assuming Brent stabilizes here for awhile. Difficult to do in the current environment but if Brent can stabilize perhaps willing buyers will surface who might be interested in the crown jewel of Stella and the GSA (and I do really believe that the GSA is a company maker - just unfortunately not for this company so far due to the incessantly frustrating delays).

Interesting to see the two 1M share block trades at $.90 this morning.
