A junior mining company especially an exploration company being able to raise money in this  environment is big news.  This NR speaks volumes for the ability of WAI's management to drive the business forward.  Guy Duport and WAI's team clearly have access to a vast network that has confidence in their ability to achieve success with WAI.  This announcement is the first step towards a confirmed deal of long term financing.  In addition, WAI expanding it's scope beyond just iron ore is a great risk reduction strategy.  Obtaining any amount of funds by any means in this 'natural resource bust' of an environment is a very big deal.  Good to see as well that WAI is giving existing shareholders access to buy more stock in the second tranche of financing.
