Les beaux jours de la marijuana médicinale sont bel et bien terminés depuis que le gouvernement fédéral a imposé de nouvelles règles qui empêchent aux patients de faire pousser eux-mêmes leurs plantes, mais un nouveau commerce est en train de fleurir.

La permission de produire étant désormais accordée à quelques producteurs commerciaux, un nouveau secteur est en train de se métamorphoser pour devenir très concurrentiel.

Mais la situation est loin d'être la panacée «irrationnelle» dont parlent les écoles d'affaires, selon le président directeur général de la firme d'investissements Matica Enterprises, Boris Ziger. Le marché financier est devenu «complètement fou» au printemps 2014, alors que différentes entreprises ont commencé à se positionner comme producteurs de marijuana dans l'espoir d'empocher les rares investissements de l'industrie.

L'entreprise de M. Ziger a mis des millions de dollars dans la THC Dispensaries Canada, un aspirant producteur de marijuana médicinale.
