Imagen de muestraMexico, Mar 1 (Prensa Latina) Violence increased in Iguala, state of Guerrero, after 14 people were murdered in the last 72 hours, five months after the disappearance in that territory of the 43 student teachers in Ayotzinapa.

The murders have occurred despite a deployment of federal forces in that territory that started four months ago, with the participation of the Army, the Navy, the Gendarmerie and the Federal Police.

Six of the deaths, including that of Iguala's cooperative captain, a doctor of the Health Secretary's Office and local ex-officials, were attributed to the group Sierra Unida Revolucionaria, supposed military arm of the criminal group Los Rojos.

In San Juan riverbank, where the authorities asserted that the burned remains of the 43 students from Ayotzinapa were thrown, they found recently the corpses of three executed men.

The criminal groups Los Rojos and Guerreros Unidos are fighting for the control of the routes of drug trafficking in Guerrero and other Mexican states.
