RE:COS Production and WTI

RE:COS Production and WTIExcellent analysis, Namsoc.  Always enjoy reading what you and oldtimer have to say.

Boiling this down to its purest form, the company is highly dependent on the price of SCO priced in Canadian dollars.  The leverage of the fixed-cost nature of COS is magnified as oil prices move down violently.  Too many people want to blame the company for what's happened to the share price.  The reality is that COS is a producer who is a price-taker and hedging is not part of the business plan.

All oil producers have watched their market caps melt as along side the fall in oil prices.

For me, the focus now is the price of oil, supply and demand, and the events or actions which can push supply and demand in either direction.
