Incorrect Information?

Incorrect Information?Stephen Ellis cites the reason for withdrawing the application as incorrect information circulating in certain communities.  He brought up the impact to shellfish as one of the things being said.  That is so bizarre.  Anyone who understands climate change knows that burning fossil fuels causes acidification of the world's oceans.  This has a negative impact on shellfish and marine ecosystems. No one is pointing a finger at a mine that hasn't been approved yet.  What they are saying is that if built, the Raven mine would definitely have negative impacts on the environment.    It may be upside for Compliance, but it is all downside for local residents and ecosystems.  They withdrew because they knew it would be rejected again.  They didn't have to spend $20 million on an application that did not address the public concerns, and just because they put together a flawed application doesn't mean it should be approved.
