KELOWNA, BC, March 11, 2015 /CNW/ - (TSX-V:QHR.V - News) QHR Corporation ("QHR" or the "Company") and on behalf of its subsidiary company QHR Technologies Inc. ("QHR") a leader in the Canadian Healthcare Information Technology sector is pleased to announce that it has completed the successful national deployment of the innovative 2015 release of its flagship software product, AccuroEMR. In a span of three weeks, over 25,000 Accuro client users across Canada have upgraded and are on the new 2015 version.
"We are thrilled with the success of this release," said Mike Checkley, SVP Product & Technology, referring to the rollout of Accuro across six provincial jurisdictions, with the software platform delivering upon specifications for healthcare in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia. "This was possible due to our agile development methodology which ensures all of our clients across Canada have access to a single, up-to-date platform."
The success of the Accuro 2015 deployment is a direct result of a commitment by QHR to give the users of its products a voice in the design process. For over three years, the company has provided an online forum, called Ideaspace, where users provide suggestions and ask questions in direct interaction with the product team. QHR's dialogue with its client base has resulted in a number of updates and new features over this time. Mr. Checkley and his team are constantly in touch with hundreds of AccuroEMR clients, ranging from individual clinics to large health organizations, to listen to them and maintain a strong understanding of their needs.
"What makes this release so exciting is the approach we took to create more flexible, quicker options for client workflows," said Checkley. "The advances in Accuro 2015 are a result of an innovative and experienced team focusing on a single platform for healthcare innovation."
The primary objective of this new release was to modernize the software and streamline updates to ensure Accuro remains the most progressive EMR available on the market. On an ongoing basis, the agile development approach followed by QHR ensures that Accuro users benefit from 8-week software release cycles of updates and improvements, in addition to larger releases such as the Accuro 2015 update.
"Congratulations goes out to QHR with the new Accuro 2015 release. It looks great and works great. I really enjoy the new features and I am discovering new things daily. Overall a great advancement and I do like the changes. Job well done," said Dr. Theo Fourie, Western Medical Clinic, Manitoba.
The Accuro 2015 update positions the company for further innovations within its product portfolio which also includes Medeo virtual care technology and SoftCare healthcare billing solutions.
