Ontario Chamber blames Ottawa for Ring of Fire delays

Ontario Chamber blames Ottawa for Ring of Fire delays

I for one thought that the report leaned toward a biased view, the tone of which weighing heavily faulting the Feds. The comment below from an article in the Sudbury paper publishing the Chamber's report makes some interesting and in my opinion valid points. In reality don't believe the report will have any affect going forward. Blame game continues....

The Ontario Chamber Report is PARTISAN.

The report was written by Josh Hjartarson, Liam McGuinty (the former Premier's son), and Scott Boutilier, with Eva Majernikova.
Dalton McGuinty's son and academics, former gov't bureaucrats have painted a one sided picture of the Farce.
The authors of this report have spread dung all over the place to deflect the glaring reality that it is the Province who have dragged their feet in almost every aspect. How in hades can you "permit" a mine without an encompassing EA, plan for roads, power, telecommunications, gas to mine sites hundreds of kilometers north of any existing infrastructure. To date the route for a road has not even been decided.
To date the only accomplishment the Lieberals have made since 2007/8 is to appoint a temporary Board of bureaucrats empowered to find PERMANENT partners to sit on the Board. The Federal government should stand back until the McGuinty/Wynne Lieberals are tossed out. Not one nickel of federal taxes should be committed to this project until we know where the money will be spent.
This Report by the Chamber is a load of hooey. Shame on them."
