Not sure how you conclude that no trading volume = significant anticpation of an annoucnement of some kind but sure, go with that. I think you're entirely correct that there will be no buyout until after approval. No big pharma company is going to take on the risk of an FDA rejection. If the drug isn't approved it's worthless to them so they will gladly wait until after it gets approved to move in. Until then the best we can hope for is a partnership of some kind.
