RE:Amazing Few Weeks: Winter Surprise for RVX

RE:Amazing Few Weeks: Winter Surprise for RVXSo here's the big question that is probably on everyone's mind right now.  It is definitely on my mind!

What's the reason behind the big (and sustained) positive movement in the both stock price and volumes???

I'll tell you right up-front:  I don't have an answer to this question.  Only a list of possibilities.  Speculation, really, is another way to describe this list.  But at least it is fun to think about.

So here's the (partial) list:

1.  The rise is (in part) a seasonal thing, since tax loss selling in December ended.  This could be having an impact...

2.  The rise could be due to word spreading about Phase 3 being just around the corner.  Plus, the costs of Phase 3 have been hugely reduced - derisking this play.  Plus... there are apparently up to 3 separate Phase 3 trials that can be undertaken by the company.  Financing for all 3 is apparently something they have access to and confidence about.  All of this combined could be impacting the stock price.

3.  The rise could be due to the "discussions" with multiple pharma that we have heard much about over the years progressing to a new level.  Maybe there is an offer or two on the table.....  Who knows, right?  It really could be - as companies tend to get bought out when they are in Phase 3 or approaching Phase 3.

4.  Maybe it has something to do with a Nasdaq listing for RVX.  There's also the chance that Zenith might be announcing a listing on some market (Zenith's actions impact RVX and vice versa in my view).  Or maybe they will be combining forces and re-listing as a single company.  I guess there are a lot of possibilities.

5.  Maybe its just based upon some of the new slicing and dicing of the data that has been going on and that was recently announced.  Perhaps the data is looking better and better the more they analyze it.....  Just a guess - speculation of course!

Etc.  Etc. Etc.

As I said:  It is fun to think about.

I'd be curious to hear some thoughts from other posters on this board on this topic....
