You should probably get out of the stock market until you have educated yourself more on how it works.
Even if you are a fundamental buy and hold investor you should also know all about trading on technicals. It gives you a better understanding of what the trading crowd is doing and a better overall understanding of the market.
The most important thing to learn whether you are a fundamental investor or a trader is wealth preservation.
Get and use a practice account until you are more comfortable in the market. This will also help you decide if it is something you should do.
A cheap way to start learning is get an online yearly subscription to Money Sense magazine.
They have good articles and ideas on how to build wealth over the long term.
If you are young remember to think and calculate long term. Read the Wealthy Barber.
