RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Card access and video integration announcement

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Card access and video integration announcement "partners" is a very loose term when delving into details. trust me, not everything is as available as often stated in the literature. Once you start delving into details, you realize you are getting half the much sought after features. Every card access company has their favorite camera supplier, some are owned by them and others it is a non compete type relationship. This is one of the reason why you see Pelco and Panasonic in almost everyone’s integration packages. They have been in the game for long time and do not compete in card access market. I would LOVE Avigilon to be accepted by all the big card access companies. It would make my life so much easier and I have personally tried to get Avigilon accepted by some of these companies!. I simply do not know of a company who welcomes with open arms a competitor. Do RIM, Android and Apple all share features? not bloody likely. It called competition and it’s just as fierce in security as it is on oil or minerals.
