Sir_Holler you may be misinformed about "their cash position".

1) How much do you believe is in treasury?
2) What do you think their burn rate is?
3) What other sources of capital may be possible (or even likely?) in the near term?

Perhaps you can answer these questions to expand upon your latest fear .

Also - I would hope this company never "pepper(s) the market with news" with the intention of affecting the stock price. We'll leave that behaviour to companies who cannot stand on their own fundamentals which in my opinion is certainly not the case with BTI.
