A few initial thoughts on the geophysical testing

A few initial thoughts on the geophysical testingUser image

1)  ``The large, long-lived silver mines of Santa Barbara and San Francisco del Oro are on strike 25 kilometers SSE of La Cigarra and Northair believes that high-grade vein systems, similar to Santa Barbara and San Francisco del Oro, may underlie the stockwork-vein hosted silver deposits at La Cigarra.``

I`m glad they are looking for this.  I have been wondering about this potential all along.  I became even more curious after learning that the Santa Barbara deposit goes down for 900 metres and is still open - it appears to be dominated by silver in the top level, then zinc/lead in the second level and then copper in the third level.

If they find veins below the upper stockwork-vein hosted (disseminated level) deposits, they would likely be the more traditional narrow high grade Mexico vein structures like Santa Barbara and San Francisco del Oro.  It could be a significant development at La Cigarra.

The current La Cigarra stockwork-vein system is essentially a medium to low sulphidation system.  It means that the mineralized magma in the area interacted heavily with a hydrothemal source of hot water in the past (like a hot spring).  This is what likely disseminated the silver content over a wide area in the stockwork area.  But, if the hot water only interacted with the mineralized magma source in the upper level then the lower levels could still be intact, perhaps in the form of high sulphidation (high grade) veins (where the veins are narrow with concentrated mineral content, like Santa Barbara, San Francisco del Oro, and likely Veta Colorada also).

2)  Low Magnetic Fields

We should especially look for low magnetic fields in the geophysical results.  When Fred (the former CEO) selected the original La Cigarra piece of land he found low magnetic results on the geophysical surveys on the property.  He noticed that all of the mines along the same fault line as La Cigarra had low magnetic readings.  This would have included both Santa Barbara and San Francisco.

3)  Secondary Geophysics Area

Is along the primary fault line going towards the big mines to the south.  It`s an area that Northair hasn`t explored on before.  I`ve always felt that it`s logical to think that it should have exploration targets, given the location.  Finding low magnetic readings in this area would be a very good start.

4)  They still haven`t located a feeder zone as yet.  They could still run into one as they survey wider and deeper.  It should be rich with silver if they do find one, eventually.

5)  This geophysical testing program should be part of the $1.85 million overall work program already budgeted for 2015.

From one of my previous posts:

``With regards to RC drill cost per metre.  The latest technical report has some hints.  The writer recommended a 2015 work program costing $1,850,000, as follows:
  • Drilling/Assays - $1 million
  • Soil/Rock Geochem - $100K
  • Geophysics - $275K
  • Phase 3 Met Testing and Environmental Characterization - $100K
  • Permitting/Environmental - $50K
  • Updated Resource Estimate - $75K
  • PEA - $250K
I think 8,000 metres of RC drilling is recommended by the writer.
$1,000,000 drilling, assying / 8,000 metres = $125 per metre``
