RE:RE:pleaseConsolidation for a company with solid financials is different than consolidation for a company on the verge of bankrupty.  I've seen some solid companies trade higher on reverse splits.  A lot of people think that they are going to wait and get cheaper shares on a reverse split.  Some shorts are probably thinking that's a good time to cover.  If everyone knows about something it's not "news".

I predict the stock spikes higher after a reverse split because it's hugely undervalued and everyone is waiting to buy.  Mr. Market sometimes has a way of doing the exact opposite of what the crowd thinks it should do and this could be one of those times.
