TechnicalsWhat were the technicals indicating when WEQ traded sideways approximately 2 years before the decline?

Technicals seem to be useful to ferret out (historical) trends.  Just so long as those trends persist.  
The axiom, 'the trend is your friend until it is not'  appears more true than the superimposition of historical data on current and future soothsaying.

I'm not a technical(s) person, I'm ready to be enlightened.
