RE:Time for the COLD NIGHT Sweats............................

RE:Time for the COLD NIGHT Sweats............................Am quite surprised that none on the local Coal Watchers didn't jump on my post__which contains a major error__it was Shawnigan Lake NOT Cowichan Lake where this contaminated soil disposal site was approved!

Red_Deer wrote: Who whodda thought eh?

The BC government just this week gave the FORMAL Environmental Approvals allowing the disposal of contaminated soils in a quarry within the Cowichan Lake watershed!

For the past 3 years now__just like what has been going on here__EVERYONE apparently was vehementally OPPOSED to this__on the basis that the operation would CONTAMINATE Cowichan Lake__irregardless of all the technical studies/data presented by the company showing NO Undue RISK of contaminaltion of Cowichan Lake.

All the locals were against it__the Local Authority was against it__the local MLA and other politicians were against it__and of course the HIGHLY VISIBLE in the MEDIA Local well organized Groups were against it!

BUT at the end of the day it STILL got the Green Light to go ahead!

KARMA eh?
