Flagin south pipeline begane operation January 2015

Flagin south pipeline begane operation January 2015Project Update Issue 6. January 2015 Flanagan South Pipeline – Now In Operation! We are now operating the Flanagan South pipeline from Pontiac, Ill. (Flanagan Terminal) to the Cushing Terminal. The nearly 600-mile pipeline is delivering North American petroleum to continue meeting the current needs and allow for future needs of refinery hubs throughout the heart of North America and as far as the Gulf Coast. The design and construction of Flanagan South pipeline meets the high standards of Enbridge’s pipeline integrity system: use of heavier wall pipe, new coating, remote operated valves, and a cathodic protection system. Our total capital investment has been about $2.7 billion, which included pipe, pump stations, and associated stations and terminal facilities. The work involved nearly 12 million hours of labor. Property taxes associated with the new pipeline have increased and will continue to be paid where we operate. Some project work remains. Property restoration will continue until we meet previously agreed upon line list conditions. Enbridge strives to uphold the commitments it made relative to the placement of the pipeline across your property. If you have any issues or concerns related to restoration, please contact your land agent. Our goal is to provide a high-quality restoration job that meets the expectations of landowners, as well as regulators, public officials, and the communities in which we operate. As the priority is now focused on restoration activities, it is possible that you may be working with a different agent. You can also call the project toll-free number (877- 797-2650). Please leave a message so that your call will be returned. Your patience and understanding in what has been a lengthy construction period is greatly appreciated. We hope that you feel like we upheld the commitments the company made relative to the construction of the pipeline across your property. Despite the completion of construction on this world-class project, we are still here. Final restoration will be monitored early next year and our operations team will continue our dedication to safety.
