The Suroriente Gushers (2,387 bopd each), Putumayo and GTEAn interesting note is that in DECEMBER 2014 after so many months in production, the company's 6 producing wells in the Suroriente Block are still gushers with an average flow rate of 2,387 bopd (100% oil) each. I quote from the annual report:
"Average production from the Suroriente Block for the month of December 2014 was approximately 14,325 bbls/d on a gross basis from 6 wells (approximately 2,268 bbls/d net to the Corporation before royalty). "
This shows how prolific the Putumayo Basin is and this also shows the reason behind Suroco's acquisition along with the importance of the Suroriente Block for PTA's future growth. And we are still at the very beggining because the company has not drilled yet Santa Maria project in PUT-7 which is the extension of the Quinde oilfield in PUT-7, Cohembi North project which is the extension of Cohembi to the North, several drilling locations in Quinde West and Quinde East (see map), the extensions for Pinuna etc. See the map at the presentation for details and the drilling locations in that area.
Another important note is that GTE is drilling in the Putumayo Basin. Actually, ALL GTE's production in Colombia is coming from two oilfields in one Block in Putumayo...... See its presentation.
