RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:I'm More Optimistic Trump and dude. Enjoying the points you put forth. I am up roughly 126K on average price paid. far more on initial investment but I bought in a second shot at 31 and obviously regret that purchase. I will likely hold till I see what crowd is saying this fall at ASIS show in California. After that I will likely make a decision. I believed in AVO product and team and still do like them but they need to do something real quick. Question: does the 500 million target initially mentioned include all monies from analytics and red cloud? If it does, then to me they are not meeting original target because these revenue streams came after the acquisition of those other companies? The below is for anyone interested in learning more about the actual security market and not appeal to many on this board so stop here if you wish. I am holding, because I see the market for quality cameras increasing, just simple math on growth potential. If you view them like one of the 3 or 5 car manufacturers in the 1930’s then you can view as a growth market, regardless of quality & price of car/ camera. People were all shedding horse (analytic cameras) and going for gas or mega pixel That said, and I know I repeat myself but other long established companies have now caught up in the 2-5 mega pixel market and avo has lost their lead. Nice t0 have 4 or 7 K cameras but very limited market and as far as I am concerned they provide more of a Wow or eye candy factor than any real large sales potential. They draw you to the common 2-3 mega pixel camera but you never get to taste the fruit because it’s out of price range. Their analytics is probably their best current edge on mainstream competition. Their pricing does need to come down because by far the largest segment is the 2-3 mega pixel cameras and you can buy one with license for less than 200.00 today and stick on a 700 DVR and record all the motion activity you want for a month. If I have a choice of putting a 650.00 avo cameras or other 200 camera looking at a doorway 10 feet away in an office tower, I will go with 200.00 units any day of the week. Only an idiot or the gov would choose the 600.00 unit. So if they want to compete for gov at 600.00 range, they better lower price because existing suppliers such as Panasonic and pelco already have 3o year relationships sewn up nice and tight so only price AND getting accepted by card access companies will give you a chance of winning Gov contracts. Large gov project here in Ottawa is using AXIS cameras. Why? Simple, they are well integrated into top line Lenel card access system. AVO beats them on analytics but not on integration into large card access companies. If they did, AVO would be yelling from tree tops they landed this or that LARGE fed job. But the only noise on that side is sound of crickets. Get price down, offer those expensive niche cameras at 5-700.00 range and they would once more be ahead of Arecont, Panasonic, Pelco and AXIS. Keep in the pack and you will grow with rest of industry but you will no longer be unique. Remember, that is what first gave them their juice! Now they are not much better than the rest. So I hold in hope they continue to grow but no longer because they are special.
