RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Trying to buy a 3D TVWhether you believe or not is your own decision, and everyone is entitled to at least that much.
I love 3D, but it's dead at home. If anyone here went to any major industry trade show recently, you would see that.
for example, at NAB 2 weeks ago, there was not a single 3D display or camera. It was all about HDR, 4K, drones...
another example, James Cameron's 3D company, Cameron Pace group, went out of business and sold their cameras to VER (now Cineverse).
studios like Paramount, Warner and Sony do not make native 3D movies anymore, and spend less than 50% of what they spend 3 years ago on conversion
The new buzz on image is about extended color, contrast (laser projectors) and higher resolution.
the 3D tv numbers SIO and other "advocates" push are based on "3D compatible" televisions, not units out there that are functional.
occam's razor: sample 20-30 of your neighbors. Who has a 3D TV, know hows to use it and has used the feature in the last 3 months?
ps: nope hedge, still not an ex SIO employee. Keep cheering, pom pom girl.
