That being said, LTS probably can't proceed with the share buybacks as probably under the close eye of the bankers and/or other financial institutions. LTS is not out of the woods yet, as 60-70 dollar oil may be here for awhile. Reading report from the USA where they have approx. 4500 wells that are capped with no fracture stimulation. This wells can be put on line within a month and equal about 400k boepd (equates to Libya's production). So this tells me any adjustments in the price to the upside will be kept based on USA and other parts of the world ready to supply the market with more oil. Anyways, have not been a buyer of oil for awhile and continue to be on the sidelines. This downturn as mentioned could last awhile plus investors leave the area going to other "sxcy" sectors. I still think this correction in oil will be similar to the 98-01 downturn. It could stay like this for 4 years.
The un-fracked well theory is another media/investor invention, similar to the complete bull poop storage "crisis". At this time of year last year you could find ~3500 wells capped awaiting finishing. So, there are really only 1000 excess wells vs normal. Furthermore, ~2/3 of the cost is in finishing the well. Prices will need to be a lot higher to warrant this output of cash.
