Just Saying

Just Saying1. Boeing was encountering increased costs with the 787, perhaps related to the composites. Has this made the market nervous with respect to BBD? 2. Bellemare can no longer claim he hasn't a clue when he speaks and fields questions on May 7. Perhaps we will not want to hear what he has to say. Let's face it, most BBD meetings are dreadful downers full of outright lies. If Bellamare doesn't lie to us, we may wish that he would. The truth may be a lot darker than the we suspect. 3. I keep hearing rumblings about the accounting issues. I guess the CFO would be gone if anything was really bad, but those who have warned us for years about the balance sheet, are now talking about the accounting, and not just the underfunded pension, but in a broad sense. BNN Market Call this week. I'd love to ignore this, but that didn't work is the past. 4. I keep hearing about the "Dream Team". Makes me nervous when new management is promoted like this but has done nothing to earn this title. We should give them some time to earn the title. What am I missing here? What have they done? It is cruel to give hope where little exists. 5. Those firm orders are not that firm. I don't know enough about it, but its clear that BBD is nervous. Once the meeting is over, there will likely be a run up to Paris, followed by the usual let down and then what? I hope the stock doesn't run up before Paris. I hope it remains flat into Paris and... 6. I hope they announce an aviation partnership with the Chinese and spin off the rail division. This company is undercapitalized and needs some deep pockets and customers that can be "persuaded" to buy the better plane. Join the winners. Air Canada isn't coming to our rescue. The Canadian Government isn't going to give us the loan as it can't secure the sales and Boeing and Airbus are playing for keeps. Secure China before Boeing does, or Airbus does as they are doing with India. Stubborn is stupid. Help them with the C919 or replace it with the CS900 while you still have something they want. Remember the Arrow or the Betamax? 6. May the price of oil go up real soon because we are fooling ourselves if we think it doesn't matter. Only the Swiss need a quiet plane that bad, and Toronto will never let them land. The best thing about this stock is its liquidity - you can always get out and back in at a lower price - and there's always a lower price.
