Totally agree with you Luker8. By the way the doctor anecdote, I had a good laugh.
Concerning being impatience, I believe that it has to do more with seeing other stocks moving ahead while seeing the one you own flatline for very long periods at a time only and to do some spikes along the way then go back down.
Futhermore, if the bulk of your cash is invested in that stock it also put more pressure on your nerves. Its there where the impatience sets mostly in. Sometimes one must reassess their DD and see if their investment is still valid or move on.
Moreover, its when you decide to move on that one might miss a big run up. It happened to one of my friends about 15 years ago. He held the stock, the bulk of his cash invested, for over three years at a 15 cents range but he got impatient and decided to sell and buy a stock that was moving up. Should he have sold? Three months after he sold the stock it went from about 15 cents to over 7 dollars in 6 months. The other stock he bought crashed.
Should you sell Matamec and move on? If you call it wrong, you will remember it for a very long time.
