What I find very odd is that no matter if it is highly probable that this transaction will be consumated or not, it is at this point just a bid on their part. It is open to other bids and after all that, it is still up to the shareholders on a vote as to whether to sell or not. With all that said it seems rather presumptuous of Pico to banner this on their site as a done deal. You decide whether they are just ahead of themselves and lacking in diplomacy, or if their confidence stems from something else. It seems management ( company employees) and Pico (suitor) have not even dealt the shareholders (company owners) a hand at a poker game played at their house and with their cards... That in my opinion is very odd and smells of the Old Boy Network. You don't change your mailing address to 24 Sussex until after the people have spoken and the election has been won....no matter how far ahead you may be in the polls.
