RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:7% layoffsThat statement was correcting eunice12 who informs us that no sales guys were ditched.  Which might be correct but isn't.

I interpret firing as a means getting rid of people who have done something negative for the business.  Laying off is getting rid of good guys which infers a change in business focus or strategy.  Just my 2 cents. We'll learn more soon I guess. As you say, workforce is smaller which reduces costs and keeps shareholders happy in the short term.
