Statoil Plunges into Q1-2015 Loss on US ImpairmentsStatoil reported a net loss of NOK 35 billion (US$4 billion) in Q1-2015, compared to a net profit of NOK 23.7 billion in Q1-2014. The loss was due to an impairment charge of NOK 46 billion on US onshore unconventional assets.The loss was partially offset by higher refining margins and increased activities in marketing and trading segments.
