Justice Department: $20 million for police body camera program

WASHINGTON, D.C.– The Department of Justice announced Friday a new $20 million program to fund the use of police body cameras in local law enforcement organizations across the country.

The plan includes $17 million in grants for departments to buy cameras, as well as $3 million for training, technical assistance and evaluation.
