CXR or some rhyme? Just hold and watch it grow! "Sell in May and go away" & “Buy when it snows, sell when it goes.” are nothing more than nice rhymes.
The reality is that Buy and Hold is the proven winner by a long shot and timing the markets spells disaster.
142 years of research ending in 2012 showed that if you invested one dollar in 1871 you would have nearly $200,000 dollars in 2012.
Timing the market "Sell in May and go away" would return you under one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) in the same time period.
