MY FINANCIAL FALL AFTER BELIEVING IN ORACLE Mining Corp.I was a loyal and passionate shareholder of Oracle Mining Corp. (since the early days of Goldhawk). However I foolishly invested my life savings in Oracle Mining. It was a huge investment. I believed in OMN, its competency and value. Oracle spun an incredible tale of a lucrative opportunity and I fell for it! I was wined and dined at a very expensive restaurant and they didn't bat an eyelash at the cost of the meal or the price of the wine. (I actually felt bad about ordering an expensive dinner so I stuck to the cheapest fare on the menu). Oh the irony! They on the other hand, didn’t care; happily eating and drinking the costliest items on the menu little did I know that dinner and Oracle Mining was about to destroy my life.
Over the course of the meal Oracle showed me a brochure on how incredible and cutting-edge OMN's research and evaluations were and how the company was on the verge of incredible financial things. I was extremely naive and gullible and fell for it hook, line and sinker! Looking back it should've been a red flag! I bought into the company and over the course of the next few years excitedly embraced all of their hyped press releases and technical reports that 'claimed' they were on the threshold of great mining discoveries. I even got my family & friends to invest in OMN thinking it was a can't-miss opportunity. They too, lost huge amounts of money. My average purchase was $1.65 per share and I sold out at 0.08 cents. I took a huge financial bath that has left me a few paychecks away from personal bankruptcy. I lost all of my savings and RRSP's compliments of my failed investment in Oracle Mining Corp. I felt so badly for getting my family members involved that I'm actually paying them back for their losses in monthly installments with what I can afford.
Looking back I feel like I was conned into believing there was real value and prestige in this mining start-up. Then as a shareholder I received ongoing reassurance and encouragement that everything was moving forward and just be patient it will not be much longer. Every CEO of the company was eventually let go, many of the staff resigned, mineral evaluators were let go, technical reports were changed or dismissed as inaccurate, etc. A stock that was at 2.90 is now 'worth' about 2 cents. How is that possible?
There is a cautionary tale here. I'm sure I'm not the only person that has fallen victim to poisonous stocks. I was guilty in trusting the employees of a supposedly legitimate company. As an investor and eventual shareholder I feel I was owed respect and honesty from these representatives but in the end I don’t feel I received any. Ultimately my investment was wiped out; hundreds of thousands of my hard earned dollars lost and my life destroyed.
Sincerely,
A foolish naïve investor in OMN. soon I'm sure a delsiting is coming.
