RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:5k, 7k, who cares after a while....become a commodity...bolduc. what I was saying is that the 2-5 mega pixel cameras likely make up that percentage of camera sales. so if they are selling 2-5 strength cameras then they have lots of competition. If you tell me 95% or even 50% of their camera revenue comes from high end cameras where they are a leader, then I will be very happy. You think the sun never sets on AF, ask him what portion of his gross sales are the 6 plus mega pixel units. Don’t’ even tell us if you found out. I just would like you to see I am right. I am not looking to be proven right here. Hell I often think I shouldn’t post because I don’t want to drive price down but the professional in me is ticked and I feel investors should know what the security industry is like. I know all about customers wishing to use analytics but please do not try and tell me that its flying off the shelf. who cares if ten, 20 or thirty universities buy 30K of software each. you sell cameras to just one SMALL fed department and you easily just sold 20 million dollars worth of cameras over 2 years to one client. Hit DOD and its in the Hundreds of millions.! So focus and don’t have all manner of sales people trying to sell 3 very unique and different products Are they in business of selling cameras or trying to be everything to everyone. I can assure you if they popped up today and said hi, look what we have, I wouldn't invest one plug nickel in them. I can do that with many different security companies that have long track records and who are in the vast majority of buildings across the world. Spend a day walking in office towers and you will see Panasonic, pelco, Samsung, Sony, axis cameras and other brand cameras up there on the ceilings and walls. You want to sell cameras then sell cameras that are unique and affordable. You want to sell ice cream, then be the best in that field as there too you have no shortage of competition. but don’t start a firm, be average and expect any glory. Give you an example of a firm that was ahead of its time, Videx. Fantastic product I came across years ago. Little booth at ASIS far in the back. Fantastic product and people and really hoped they would capture a good chunk of the lock market. Fantastic blend of card access with conventional keying challenges. Guess what? Within 2 years I was noticing all the big boys were pushing the same thing and now they are selling to client base they have in palm of their hands/ like pelcos are doing. Videx? Still small booth in the back and trying to capture a few clients here and there. Just like AVO with 2-5 mega pixel cameras that are no longer unique enough to keep others away you love avo and think they are doing nothing wrong, cool. I think they are making mistakes and right or wrong, the market seems to think the same otherwise we would be at 40 and 50 today. Seeing as there is no manipulation in market, AVO is ever so smart and all they touch will turn to gold then why the heck isn’t stock up at 45? I have stated why I think they are down. You tell us why they are down. Not stock manipulation, shorts have been I believe around for close to two years now so what is it. Tell us. I value your market intel and admire your fervor for AVO but tell us what is stopping them from even getting to 30 and staying there for more than a week.
