RE:ScrewedStop the whining. The dividend yield is still the same!!!!!! You can own STB in USD in a USD cash or registered or tfsa account. So if you own STB individually then your custodian should have a way to hold STB in a USD account. You can buy STB either on the CDN exchange or US exchange. You can buy STB on a CDN exchange and then transfer it to a USD account. Same difference. The benefit is STB will no longer have this hedging cost and there are significant costs to hedging if you have any knowledge about currency hedging. This also satisfies the US shareholder base which there are more of than Canadians. Finally, 80% of their revenues are USD so it makes sense and this is long overdue. So I don't see the screwed part....it just makes common sense!!!
