EXACTLY. That's the sole reason I keep posting that I think FCU should consider more options. I often feel it's like a puppy waiting for a new owner to come along. To stay in metaphors, in high school there's also something as "playing hard-to-get".
To make this all specific, I urge FCU to make soft threats towards the market, i.e. that they will consider producing themselves. Or at least teaming up with someone who produces. Not some lame 9.9% acquisition stake which won't come through, but the potential for majors to:
1. Get another competitor
2. Get another major to be that partner/joint-venture with Fission
You could start by signing a non-binding agreement, stating that FCU and Denison (for example) have the intention to join forces in 2020, if Fission still exists in it's current form. Voila, a fluffy/vague NR but it makes FCU a (soft) threat next to only being a nice opportunity. Give the majors as much reasons as possible to buy you out.
