With what I have read about Smit, they do not tow barges but they could.

Smit is an advisor for the PR port on LNG vessels safety and helping Panamax and larger move around and agg ships lay pipeline.

If the tracking history shows SPN then I become excited about pipelines.

Also, their speed was to fast to have been towing barges but I am not 100% sure about this.
