RE:LME Zinc

RE:LME ZincIF (and this is a BIG IF)  the trend continues then in 6-7 months there will be no zinc in the LME warehouses. I am sure some mines will open up and others will ramp up production so the "catastrophy" is averted but nevertheless the price of zinc should be going up and not down as is happening. But it is not unusual for things to look totally irrational before some heavy duty rationalization. Even the air comes to a standstill before a huge storm. I am sure that when zinc price pops to the upside then some interested parties will be knocking on the CZN door interested in PC mine (Trevali, TCK?)...

Does anyone on this board remember the investment that the government (fed or NWT) made in CZN a few years back for people training purposes in preparation for opening the mine. I believe it was $3M. Why not make similar investment in helping to finance/build the road. If nothing more, it would provide work for the local people.

I hope something interesting (read: positive) happens before the AGM...

Did anyone know that each car produced contains ~40lb of zinc...so lets all go buy ourselves a new car and this way contribute to zinc shortage :) Oh  wait, we are all underwater with our investmanet in CZN...
