SHORTERS ARE EVIL. Prime example look how the shorters dropped Bitgolds XAU price before the halt. They scared new money off causing a huge slide. They did this here with edgewater pushing the price to 38 cents. Savy vets in both just smiled and bought more on the way down.
Prevent this from happening to your shares. Don't let them borrow your shares to short. Put a crazy High bid in if you are going long.
There needs to be more DD in this group to stop this craziness of being scared off when shorters play their tricks. This weekend gives us all a chance to reset breathe, no what you can risk, learn about, your stock and choose an approach so you can keep emotion out of it..
New buyers of this stock please do your homework this weekend so you don't panick when they try this again next week. Set a crazy price for your shares if you are going long, so your shares can't be borrowed for shorting.
Shorters be the devil I say
As per IIROC any stocks listed on the TSX VENTURE, or stocks under $3.00 on the TSX are NOT able to be shorted, also any shares borrowed would have to come from a margin account or own inventory of stocks. So what you are seeing is manipulation from large holders or MM's. They can place small sell orders cheap to push the price down and scare shareholders into thinking people are dumping, then pick up the (scared) shares. So putting high bids is a waste of time, and you could get burned if a halt, and the stop halt came out higher than your ask. Shares in the US are run through Canadian brokers and would be subject to IIROC regulations. This wa quoted to me by RBC quoting IIROC regulations.

Just to be clear on what is really happening, but the point is correct hold your shares and be aware of manipulation. If like myself you are unable to see level2 it is hard to know what is going on with the bid, ask. But in YFI.V it is not shorting, it is manipulation.

This is my understanding of the situation.

Hold long. and Good Luck
