RE:BlackBerry: Obsession With Cash Flow Hurting Shareholders

RE:BlackBerry: Obsession With Cash Flow Hurting ShareholdersBlackberry only exists today because it ran a very conservative balance sheet. I can assure you that IF Chen leveraged the balance sheet, the preditors would move in......thankfully there are hard nosed directors and huge shareholders like Prem Watsa who favor and likely insist on continuing a conservative balance sheet. As a shareholder, I favour this style of company management, especially during a turn around. THE real upside, is that once there is traction and forward visibility on growth, THEN, the balance sheet can be loosened up a bit.....Never forget that creditors will lend you their umbrella when the sun is shining, but as for it back as soon as it starts raining...... if it wasn't for Blackberry's conservative balance sheet, the company would have been gone long ago......
