RE:Wifi3 v MU-MIMOwifi3 oem can be implimented into current ap's. mu-mimo requires replacement of current hardware. our version is cap-ex friendly. mu-mimo splits 1 channel 4 ways only. wifi3 (depending on product) will allow use of 3-6 separate channels. this has the advantage of reducing co-channel interference from other clients. example: mu-mimo will split radio channel 5 four ways, wifi3 will give you channel 1,5,11. one other thing.... wifi3 can split each of those channels into 4 for a total of 12 to accomodate added density. one advantage mu-mimo has is the use of ac standard for throughput, however that advantage slips when co-channel interference is applied. hence the density issue.
