RE:SU/CNQ Vs CPGsukhi19..".cpg is a poor man su/cnq/banks"... fits me to a T...that is why i sold bns/td/ and bought cpg... five years ago bought 5300 cpg @36.93 to get better div 7.47% in rrsp..has been as high as 46-47$...have riden it down to 21$ recently..am not buying more..taking the mthly div and draining it from my rrsp..so far i have drained 13.80$ in divs..$2.76 x 5 yrs... and still have 5300 cpg shares..in 2009 bought 2000 ry @38$...using this div to supplement retirement..am building cash reserve now...was thinking of using margin acct to borrow against royal shares and buy more secure blue chip div payers..creating a tax deduction from the interest expense to be applied against total income for the year..not ready to buy more cpg..even though they hedge well and have good mgmt team...oil is so volatile..don t know what is next.for oil price...geopolitics are are on the boil...one spark could blow it up....and saudi oil fields and facilities are targets...also have crippled oil 2444 shares pwt @17.79....first buy was at 39$..look at it now as a long dated option..div has been cut to 4 cents per year..maybe pwt shareholders will crawl out of this hole..good luck to all..
