Value of contract for Electro Gen ME Fuel Cell Back-up

Value of contract for Electro Gen ME Fuel Cell Back-up systems for Indian Cell phone company is around $US 3,600,000 if the cost per unit is $36K (from Ballard info-sheet) and given that they have an initial contract for 100 units . There are thousands of these cell towers that need back-up power system replacement as the Indian government has stated that at least 50% of those in the country and 20% of those in the city must stop using diesel generators for back-up systems. There are now 300,000 cell phone towers that are using diesel generators or lead-acid batteries according to the Ballard news release. If only a fraction of these are converted to the BLD system (say 1%) then the value of contracts with Indian telecom companies could reach $360,000,000 (there would be discounts for volume but you get the idea). Add that to the Chinese bus business and the existing contracts worldwide and BLD starts to look very promising and viable. All imho.
