I agree with each point you make but a sale could happen. The need for supply for a whole raft of BC LNG projects which will require NAT GAS starting with Kitimat Douglas Channel in 2017 is real. Shell will want a sizeable amount for that - and they don't likely want to buy a small one like PNE first only to find the price goes up for all other fields right away. They might buy PPY or CR first, then what does the next project buy? At what price per boepd? So the sp goes up as soon as the first major deal happens - then RMP is back over $4 and management might listen to the bid at $8 you speak about. Once management says they are taking it under consideration - others make offers. The $10 sp was in a different pricing era and it is not certain RMP will get back there is a year or three. Management might enjoy taking a big chunk of cash and going to ATH or somewhere they can leverage a better long term profit.
