RE:TumipampaIt is way too early to make an estimate of any validity until we get more data on the structures, grade and extension of the orebody. Clearly, selective u/g mining methods will have to be used to minimize dilution at a relatively higher mining cost relative to bulk production methods, but this should not be construed as a negative. The high grades reported so far more than compensate for this. Furthermore, there is the disseminated extension of the orebody which may be more amenable to bulk production methods.
Again, it is way too early to make a valid estimate. But, clearly we have a deposit with very high grade intercepts. We need to be patient and wait for more drilling results, the preparation of a model and the 43-101 report.
I am also a mining engineer with experience in mine modeling and economic evaluation and a native of Peru. Although i have not been in the mining district where Tumipampa is located, i have first knowledge of projects in the district.
May i remember you that in the 1990s, Barrick paid US$800 million for Pierina with only a handful of exploration drillholes conducted by Arequipa Resources. I know, different times and type of deposit, but you never know.
