Not beating up on George as he has had a lot of success in other ventures albeit with some failures, but with regards to SGL he was a non factor as far as I could see.

Jimmy, knowing of George as well as I do as well as his business success through Clarke Inc. and the fact that he was originally an Avenex shareholder like myself, I have complete faith in the man.
I believe that George intended to become a factor in SGL after the merger, hence his joining the BOD, but it looks like we now know exactly who did not see SGL's future as I believe George saw it! George's opinion of SGL is well documented in the financials and MD&A materials of Clarke Inc.
Let's also not forget the Preferred Share question from a couple of years ago. I think that George was behind that initiative as we can now clearly see that SGL was, and more so is, under funded. Just maybe if the company had been able to raise more capital and eliminated the dividend long, long ago, it might have survived in much better shape!
Finally, it was not the assets that were questionable, it was the management and now as we all can clearly see, also the BOD!
That kinda rhymes...
