RE:RE:RE:RE:Shaw to trial Comcast’s X1 Platform
The link I had posted was to an article in Multichannel, not an official company news release. Strangely enough, I have found a relevant news release on Seeking Alpha, but not on Shaw's web site ... ????

Here's the link to S.A. - https://seekingalpha.com/pr/13927215-shaw-announces-third-quarter-financial-and-operating-results

A passage of interest in the release - "In 2013 Shaw commenced development of an end-to-end IPTV solution under a certain IPTV platform. The Company paused late in 2014 to review the platform under development and assess other options and has now abandoned the original platform, resulting in an asset write-down of $55 million."

As we know, in late 2014 Espial's share price was languishing sub-$1.50  i.e. penny stock status. A company of Shaw's size with their expertise blowing $55 million on their IPTV effort - is there any way that they would have bet their future tech offering on a penny stock company that didn't have a proven operating system? As John McEnroe would say - "You cannot be serious!"
