RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:COULD NOT ZENITH DO THIS??

JK's ignorance of even the most rudimentary basics of patent law is staggering.  Even more staggering is his willingness to continue to comment on this subject, given his total lack of insight and knowledge.

When an employee or former employee is named on a patent, it doesn't mean that he owns the intellectual property.  Not at all.

It also doesn't mean he is claiming to own it.  Not at all.

It usually only means that he worked on the subject matter.  Ownership for his work while employed by the company is typically with the company.  That matter (ownership) is usually covered in the employment agreement between the employee and the company.  It is very much typical that the employment agreement assigns ownership clearly to the employer for work during his or her time with the company.

I'm not saying that is what happened here.   I am only stating the typical arrangement.  JK obviously is coloring outside the bounds of his knowledge.   In other words, he doesn't know what he is talking about at all.

JK:  You are speading fear, uncertainty and doubt and are commenting on topics you clearly have no knowledge about.   I request you stop doing that.   To do otherwise is to spead falsehoods and perhaps to be negligent and potentially liable for your comments.

And GV:  As to my mood, that is irrelevant - a smoke screen no doubt.  You are trying to obscure the fact that JK is totally out of bounds.  I'm actually on vacation right now and in a great mood.  But regardless of moods, you can count on me to be vigilent to fight anyone who is spreading fear without any basis in fact.  When that happens, you'll likely hear from me if I happen to see the post.  Regardless of what forum is involved.

People rely upon these forums to gleen knowledge about their investments.  We all have a duty to be as honest and accurate as we can here.  When we are found out to be wrong about something, the only ethical thing to do is to admit fault (as I have done many times here to be honest) and to clariy the matter.

In this case, all we are getting is more inaccuracies and a smoke screen.

You've both been called out here.   And you both should have been!
