Ask Questions - Be CarefulBear: I appreciate your posts and opinions. Very much so.
My issue with BTI isn't with the company itself. The game of pump and dump (if it is being played with that stock) is a game played by savvy, sophisticated game-playing investors. The company usually has little or nothing to do with it.
My message is just for people to be careful. I think these game players once had their day with RVX. They took a promising company with a good story to sell to investors. They promoted it past all recognition and reason. The stock when to 29. Then they pulled out and the stock eventually fell to next to nothing.
That's my interpretation of the RVX story.
And I've once worked for a company that also followed the exact same path! My old company was once a top 5 stock on Nasdaq. Up over 1000%. In one year. 3 years later it had a huge drop. I've always wondered how much games players on Wall Street and elsewhere had to do with that.
It's an old story. One to be very careful of.
I'm not sure at all that BTI is one of those or will be. I'm just wearing of the same people (who back in the day sung the virtues nearly nonstop about RVX on Stockhouse) now signing the praises of BTI. Is it a game? Each investor has to judge.
But let's be clear: The company is usually also a victim here. But the real victims are retail investors who get caught up in the story of a company that sounds really, really good. And it might be. But perhaps not as soon as anyone thinks....
Again: The point is to be careful. Do your own due diligence. Its fair to ask why the same people keep talking about BTI over and over again on other forums.
DYODD. IMHO. GLTA.
