Buying & Selling of ALP
Buying & Selling of ALPThis is exactly correct. I already had as large a position as I wanted in ALP. Then, I almost doubled it by participating in the private placement. The cost was $.20 for one share plus a warrant to buy another half share. I value the warrant at about $.02, meaning that I bought the shares at $.18. If I sold shares at $.19, I would maintain my original position, while reducing my average cost per share. Some of us did not know whether we had gotten our private placement shares until the end of last week. For at least a few more days there will be sellers at $.19 to $.20. I wont be one of them, because I think that price is way too low. The effect of any private placement like this one is to put temporary downward pressure on the price of the stock. That is a small price to pay for getting needed working capital. The real news is that the private placement rased the maximum and that some people could not get all that they wanted. Patience is the key.
