Puda Coal Inc PUDA

Puda Coal, Inc. (Puda) is a supplier of high-grade metallurgical coking coal to the industrial sector in the People’s Republic of China (the PRC or China). Its processed coking coal is primarily purchased by coke and steel producers for the purpose of making the coke required for the steel manufacturing process. Puda’s operations are conducted by Shanxi Puda Coal Group Co., Ltd (Shanxi Coal), which it controls through 90% indirect equity ownership. Puda cleans raw coking coal sourced from third-party coal mines primarily located in Liulin County, Shanxi Province, and markets the cleaned, coking coal to coke and steel makers. Its primary geographic markets include Shanxi Province, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Hebei Province, Beijing and Tianjin, China. It purchases raw coal from a diversified pool of local coal mines in Shanxi Province.

RE:20 "China Concepts Stocks" Going Private in 2nd Quarter 2015

RE:20 "China Concepts Stocks" Going Private in 2nd Quarter 2015
I am good! Yes it's true and has been true that a number of Chinese entities are proposing private conversions, however it may be questionable that all of these deals will actually materialize due to recent disruption's in the Chinese markets, venture cap firms and banks. Some years ago, Puda Coal was listed as one of a half dozen firms going private, in the same way that this 2015 list has been collated, but as we know, Zhao's ability to make the deal became compromised by the continued decline in the China Coal industry as well as their steel and power production due to a general slowing of the economy. In addition to this, Zhao's real-estate holdings blew up for the same reasons. So no, barring a miracle from on high, I don't see any way he can accomplish this but I am convinced that he did want to do it and made effort to do it but failed. As to attempts to chase these US law violating Chinese entrepreneurs, the key word being US law, all attempts to do that will fail unless these same people have assets in the US that can be seized. Failing that, there is very little one can do as the Chinese authorities are not helping and as long as they remain in China. They are a protected class.
