Pierre, Hatchy and the board are paid big money to not over extend themselves like they did. Lear, Global, to a lessor extent QSeries, heck even the few dollars on the RJ1000. They are paid to know and evaluate what can be accomplished within a certain budget and time frame. And yes costs and time don't stay fixed. Some projects come over budget others below, it's business with a multi year time frame from start to finish.
Take away the engine failure we were never fed the whole story. Not sure if it was last year or the year before but who was it Dewar came on every day first flight moments away. For four days live feed from Mirabel until the last day of the show, sorry no first flight. Then Pierre and Hatchy never ending bull about negociations going well orders coming, well a big bust on that end. But probably his biggest mitake was getting in bed with the Chineese. It may pay out and that is a big may but they got what they needed and well BBD all dressed up but no one to dance.
Yes and to your amazement I have been in big dollar projects and that is why I don't accept excuses and it is the CEO and especially the boards' job to have the power and authority to remove people when they are not able to do their jobs.
On a similar point they brought in Tellier to clean up the company which he did and for that was let go to make space for Pierre with no experience.
