Facebook to be Shannon's major power purchaserSo it turns out that Facebook will be the major consumer for power from Alterra's Shannon Wind project in order to power its new data centre.  This is fantastic news and will certainly help to increase Alterra's profile and credibility in the future.  It's great to see Alterra partnering with major US players like Facebook, Citi and Berkshire, these types of contacts and their networks can be approached on future US projects (e.g. 40 MWs of Soda Lake Solar).
